Well.. Rashard Mendenhall is an idiot..

This time around, Mendenhall is offering opinions regarding the death of Osama bin Laden, and questioning whether the planes that hit the World Trade Center caused the collapse of the twin towers.

“We’ll never know what really happened,” Mendenhall said. “I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style.”

Mendenhall also expresses sympathy for bin Laden. “What kind of person celebrates death?” Mendenhall says. “It’s amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We’ve only heard one side.”

But what would the other side have been? Bin Laden admits to masterminding and funding the plot; he has bragged about it. He’s not entitled to the presumption of innocence after admitting guilt.

We fully believe in free speech. Mendenhall has the right to say whatever he wants. But others also have the right to react to what he says. And given that he plays for a team headquartered near the location of the crash of United 93 and that the Steelers will be playing on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in Baltimore, not all that far from where another plane crashed into the Pentagon, we’ve got a feeling that more than a few folks will be exercising their free speech rights when Mendenhall comes out onto the field.

I'm all for conspiracy theories but that was NOT the way to go about it.

all the conspiracy theories have been debunked

the jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough, but paper and wood from desks burn hot enough to weaken it. the steel weakened and pancaked on top of each other.

we do know what happened that day, hijackers took over 4 planes, 1 hit the pentagon, 2 hit the twin towers, 1 thankfully yet fatefully crashed over the middle of pennsylvania.

Hes sympathizing a mans death, who plotted an attack on our nation that killed hundreds-thousands of people? Does this guy even support the US or America? Would he have a different opinion if one of his family members was in the trades towers and got killed? Seriously, do people think before they speak. No its not right to celebrate someones death, but when that person plotted an attack that killed peoples families and other people, imo he deserves his death and justice is due.

I wouldn't say all of them, but a lot of them have been debunked.

As for what he said, he was never in the wrong when he questioned the Twin Towers, that was okay but as soon as he kind of sympathized for Bin Laden is where he became a fucking idiot.

Maybe his mom should of told him not to speak of his crazy ideas to the media when he was younger...

Well I don't mind it getting attention, it is a subject that ppl will have a problem with but I just hope this doesn't blow up and become a huge deal on ESPN or somethin like that.

Show the part where he sympathized for him. All he says is you shouldn't judge someone, because that is God's doing. I agree 100% with him. Didn't understand his thinking about the twin towers, too vague.
